Overflow Estimating was set up to fix that. We bring together experienced freelance estimators across electrical, mechanical and MEP, and supply them to contractors when their own team is at capacity. We manage the matching, the quality checks and the admin, so you get extra estimating capacity without the overhead.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a take-off and an estimate?
A take-off measures and counts everything on the drawings. An estimate prices it, adding materials, labour, preliminaries and margin. We can supply either, or both.
How quickly can you turn a tender around?
Typically 3–5 working days, depending on size and complexity. Tell us the deadline and we'll confirm the turnaround.
Will you use our labour rates and template?
Yes. Share them once and every estimator we supply will work to them.
Who owns the client relationship?
You do. We never contact your clients, and everything is covered by a confidentiality agreement.
How much does it cost?
Pricing is per tender, based on size and scope, or a monthly retainer for regular work. Send the drawings for a fixed quote.
Do you work outside the UK?
Our focus is the UK, and we also support contractors in Ireland. Ask us about other markets.
